Sol Lewitt was a contemporary American artist from Connecticut who influenced the minimalism and contemporary movements in the US during the early 1960s.  For the layout of these spreads I wanted the influence of his work to lead the design choices.  The square format follows many of his square pieces.  The minimalistic color palette of black, white, red, blue, and yellow comes from his own pieces showcased in the catalogue.  A majority of his work was split between wall murals and sculptures, it was important to showcase both of these styles and his most well-known and influential pieces.
